These questions are no longer unanswered with the onset of global warming and its affect on the animal kingdom—especially the polar bears. According to Steven Amstrup, a polar bear specialist in Anchorage, Alaska, global warming is rapidly melting the ice in the Northern regions and slowly killing the polar bears as they struggle to survive. In any event, if we don’t save the polar bears, their hunting season will grow shorter and their constant struggle for survival will eventually lead to death.
